Alan Jennings , Director
Alan Jennings is a commercial strategist and negotiator with over 20 years of experience across IT, telecommunications, and managed services. He has negotiated contracts worth more than $1 billion, built pricing strategies for major vendors, and helped organisations across New Zealand and Australia find commercial value they did not know they had.
Before founding Xavient Partners, Alan held senior commercial roles at leading technology and telecommunications businesses, led multi-million dollar deal teams, and co-founded startups from the ground up. He brings the same rigour and directness to a six-figure supplier renegotiation as to a complex cross-border deal structure.
Alan works across cost optimisation, commercial advisory, RFP management, pricing strategy, and business case development. He holds a licence to operate under ERA Group , a global cost optimisation network with over 1,400 practitioners across 60+ categories , drawing on that network to deliver outcomes across any spend category.
He is based in Wellington and works with clients across New Zealand and Australia.

Sam Hyde , Director
Sam Hyde is a technology leader and co-founder of Xavient Partners, bringing deep expertise in IT strategy, infrastructure, and vendor management. With a background spanning enterprise technology environments and commercial advisory, Sam helps organisations make better technology decisions , whether restructuring a vendor relationship, navigating a complex procurement, or providing virtual CIO services to businesses that need senior IT leadership without the full-time cost.

Steven Webb , Cyber Security Advisor
Steven Webb is a cyber security governance advisor and Virtual Information Security Manager (vISM) with over five years of experience helping organisations manage risk, strengthen resilience, and align cyber security investments with strategic business outcomes.
Steven works with executive leadership teams to develop practical security governance frameworks spanning information security strategy, ISO27001 implementation, risk management, compliance, business continuity, and incident preparedness. He has guided technology, SaaS, fintech, healthcare, and digital services organisations through security maturity improvements, ISO27001 certification programmes, and ongoing vISM engagements — translating complex security challenges into clear business decisions.
Prior to specialising in cyber security governance, Steven spent over two decades in senior technology, product management, and consulting roles with Vodafone New Zealand, Gen-i, Telecom New Zealand, and Hewlett-Packard. He is an ISO27001 Lead Auditor and Implementer, and brings a pragmatic, commercially focused approach to helping organisations manage emerging risks — including those associated with AI adoption.
